Yea this is the MC's fault. Enemy isn't even dying and he just plainly reveals his secret to somebody who's at this point known to be a genius at taking traits from other races and incorporating them.

Because he's the MC everyone is forgetting who he was beforehand. Monologuing when he could and should finish off his opponent is in his nature.

DB is different. I don't watch it for the story (like what I was expecting from this manga); I watch it to see a bunch of burly martial artist aliens shout at each other and punch/laser each other to death.
