@Richman Officially, it's health. Long ago, Togashi got burned out making manga, HxH hiatus meme is just a continuation of that.
Another reason, he doesn't have a motivation: he's loaded, made a name for himself, redefined the genre, married to the author of Sailor Moon and can publish chapters whenever he pleases, since Jump will never cancel HxH.
