So, then... What's the story about him not wanting to be a girl from the beginning? Doesn't this retcon his backstory?
think of it like this
1. you raise a kid in an extremely religious environment
2. the kid gains independence and then becomes a giga atheist for a bit
3. as an older adult and exploring himself a bit more, the kid realizes that there's a difference between the nutsos that raised him and other religious experiences, and decides that he wants to be religious again but in a way that is more acceptable
does the fact he was raised in that kind of religious environment prevent him from becoming religious again if he decides to do it himself, in many other situations like this people would say no
applying this to the Bridget story
1. bridget raised by nutsos who think male twins are evil so raised as a girl
2. bridget gains independence and is like hell no I'm not a girl (despite continuing to crossdress for... no reason?)
3. bridget explores their identity a bit more as they get older and decides it's not that bad to be one
...... is it an extremely unsatisfactory choice that the character basically doesn't tie up the loose ends they had with their childhood backstory? yes, yes it is but you would basically just get a story that ended up the same as Nagisa from Assassination Classroom.
Anyways, who the hell plays fighting games for lore, I just like seeing big muscly men grab each other. King main, btw.
