It's independent work with existing or independent characters/works involved it's more similar in terms to indie games with (most known doujin are h.) I have read doujin that has just as it says thin short "volumes" made by independent writers. 95% of pixiv works are doujin like my gamer girlfriend or originally I turned my childhood friend into a girl.

That said I have a small nitpit on the translation. On page 25, the second text box should be “Is that…” rather than “That is…”. It’s just swapping the order but it majorly changes the flow and cohesion of the sentence (which finishes on pg 27).

you are reading the wrong series, and I don't know why people went into this expecting differently when this has been explicitly a shotacon series from the very beginning

you guys need to stop expecting things to conform to your reality and just look for stuff you actually like - there's boatloads of BL crossdressing content out there if you want it. like, I don't go out of my way to read BL since I don't like BL - why go out of your way to read a shotacon series if you hate shotacon?
