TrueI was going to say, “What’s the big deal about them being adopted?” but then I remembered this is written by Reiji, so you kind of have to expect weak excuses for drama.
Well this series is being rushed you could tell that from the first chapter. Past that I mean look at where we are with this chapter alone. Less than 30 chapters to go and we have 2 major plots lines potentially being wrapped up simultaneously. Arata confronting his sisters and all of them being adopted becoming public knowledge. Do I expect either of these to become major events? No. Probably 5-10 chapters max but hey I could be wrong. Maybe you’re right and we will get an extension.Well he at least thought the stuff I was previously saying he needed to do.
So that's one step forward, though who knows if he'll commit to actually confronting the Five about all of their feelings toward him.
Especially now that their "secret" has been leaked.
Still not sure how a man who's supposedly as rich as Elon Musk can't be assed to cover up something that I thought I remembered him saying "was important to not get out", but maybe I'm just used to how easily-bought my country's news/journalists are, and there's no way to bribe/coerce the same industry in Japan.
But all that aside - I know there was talk that this was going to be ending soon, but I don't see how it could unless it's rushed and/or forced, from this point. I personally think there should have been one girl who outside the family to be a "collective rival" to the Five, as that would be the easiest path forward for Arata to try and retain his existing sibling relationships without feeling like he'd have to pick one/destroy his family's bonds.
Not saying any of them would be okay with that, but ostensibly if he picked "none of them" as his answer, he could keep them all close as sisters and simply get with someone else entirely.
But I suppose that's not the author's style, so.
Arata is definitely adopted. Kaname in one chapter talks to himself after a conversation with Arata, holding a picture of his wife. It's going to end up he is the only biological child, methinks
I’m with you cause I genuinely don’t get the huge deal about it. The only way logically it could be is if he was openly telling news networks and other outlets that they’re all his biological children. Which I don’t see him doing something that dumb knowing that secret could still come out.Honestly, I don’t understand this plot thread that Reiji is planning now. What significance does it have whether they are adopted, especially in terms of public opinion.
Along with this plot thread, we can also expect the return of that shitty guy (Kyo).
If Reiji keeps adding insignificant plot threads just for cheap drama, it’s possible that we’re heading toward a rushed ending. I’ll just remind that the series is supposed to have only 13 volumes, so generously we can give it at most 100 chapters, and we still have unresolved matters such as the second pair of real siblings, the mystery of room no. 8, and the actual reason and history behind the siblings’ adoption (at least this aspect interests me).
