It's not the world, and if it ever get's close to cracking the planet, then the real power of nature will step in, the great spirits and sacred beasts will wipe the slate clean, so that the World can live.

DemonLords were just there to cull them or at least keep them at bay so they didn't destroy the world.

Aye. There doesn't seem to be much deeper logic or reason behind the will of the world. If this reborn demon lord was victorious, I assume the will of the world would then turn against him, empowering those who oppose him. The will of the world basically promotes endless conflict and chaos.

I got to read up to ch. 59 on GDS site. So some spoilers: [SPOILER WARN... wait, that's kinda obvious.]

Spoiler: About the Demon Lord

Yes, Demon Lord Diera is a woman and a pretty chill and hot one at that. She's kinda childish and a musclehead with a huge talent for fighting, but she's pretty nice especially with her "old friend" Dwight. No ship here, just an older sis.

The battle ends in her loss and she ends up dying again, but two things happen. First is that during the fight she outright questions Dwight of what the former hero would think of him if she saw him now, which causes colossal EMOTIONAL DAMAGE for a long while (there's a timeskip of six months and he's been mulling those words all that time). The second is that some days after the fight, she fully resurrects without the Will of the World's involvement and with the souls of the hero and the saintess calmed down (Dwight suspects the former hero's sword overwrote the spell catalyst), which baffles everyone but she's accepted as part of the gang and becomes a neighbour as she sets up shop in her former territory. Besides Luciana, she gets along best with the human archer being both battle-maniacs.

The 14th volume cover depicts her fully resurrected.

She doesn't. She gets to keep the abilities but the souls stop being a problem.

Diera is not even that. She was just a regular demon which saw the oppression and mistreatment humans did to demon races and rebelled against it. Then stuff happened, gained momentum and rose to demon lord. She has a low opinion of humans, but she doesn't antagonise them by default, partly because of the former hero.
