Actually isn't this just typical a shoujo protagonist actions? Like, yeah, creepy in real life and all, but manga often doesn't operate on real life logic (especially comedies). I tend to just turn off my brain and enjoy the funny gags with manga like these.

Yeah, if you don't understand shoujo manga tropes you won't understand the comedic aspect at all.
These are all based on typical moments that happen between the "villain" of a shoujo manga and the female lead, then in the last minute it changes into romcom between them.

It would seem people in the comments either fail to understand that or are here for the wrong reasons.

I think Hiyamas friends may be stupid, they don't seem to grasp the concept that she's gay for Kimura no matter how much she tells them. unless they're just jealous she doesn't look at them like that.
