@larcek. He's really not. He grew a bunch of gold at the beginning, but since then he's sold a shitload of products at very reasonable prices. The deflation caused by the introduction of cheap goods is fighting whatever inflation might have occurred by his introducing extra gold. And really, when you start talking about national economies, a few thousand extra gold isn't shit. Its when you start regularly dumping 6-8 figures of gold into the economy that you have problems.

Besides, that country already kidnapped him and has effectively enslaved him. It's literally his enemy. FUCK their economy.

@SilverSun It doesn't really seem like he intends to sell them or anything, they're just getting made for and used by Maine. All the broken ones are probably just gonna be collected and repaired as best as they can be, with some cultivation when the materials require a bit of "fresh blood" to keep going. If anything the mithril part of this could be mostly self contained, while the service part of the blacksmith is him stimulating the local economy a bit.

Honestly, if this was all he was doing he'd have a smaller negative impact on the economy in general than he does with everything else he's been doing.

While i'm happy for Maine fighting without worrying about her weapon breaking(i mean look at her movements), if she steadily gets stronger i'm afraid the weapons durability will probably go down faster, therefore MC'll have to invest in more durable weapons for her to use.

The king doesn't seem to be stopping him so i guess it's fine? although other than the debtors threatening to enslave Maine, despite him being summoned/isekai'd there doesn't seem to be a threat of a demon king/some kinda war/'great disaster' happening to where there'd be more ppl need to be summoned versus how OP maine is herself unless all the adventurers aren't interested/are allowed to refuse the king for some reason (versus just like being part of the main army), but other than the monsters i haven't seen demons invading so far, but seems fairly safe to where he was able to have a successful huge sale in town with ppl willing to pay (esp considering it was cheaper) as opposed to attempting to rob his food b/c they were desperate/starving

So, on Page 21, Panel 1, Bubble 2 the translation is:
"That repeated action made her become obscene."

That is not what it means in English, I promise you; Timid, perhaps, but, uh... not "obscene."

Spoiler: Lolis being obscene and not heard

This means that they are fucking; the figurative meaning is having, or having had, sex; the euphemistic meaning is "to have sex;" the phrasing implies having sex, and the whole sentence suggests sex has occurred, or will soon occur.

To be "Obscene" is to wildly, and specifically, to Publicly violate a taboo; things like:
Fucking in public, swearing at children, bringing pornography to school, exposing your genitals to random strangers...

Bad stuff; really, very bad stuff

So... maybe "obscene," in the context of apprehension towards damaging weapons, would be better phrased, not as:
"That repeated action made her become obscene."
But, as:
"The continuous failure has made her become timid"

Not the kind of word for breaking a tool.
And, while breaking 1,000,000,000,000,000 swords is, figuratively, an "obscene" amount of damage (or perhaps, of swords), the act of breaking them is only "obscene" if it's done while murdering children, and even then it is the ACT that is obscene, and not the person.

So...

She isn't obscene. (So far.)

Very human concept to cheaply make multiple identical copies of an expensive commodity and sell them for far less money, honestly; humans always be doin' this.

Though... the fact remains that he is taking the work of other people, clicking "copy/paste," and selling it as his own; that's called "Theft" where I live, and called "Socialism" in China... and called an "Economic Miracle" in Japan...

I'm kind of in agreement with @harryno5 in that he is angling for counterfeit charges, and he is plainly violating the social contract.... but I would note that he has endured heinous fuckery most foul, and is (as a Terran Human) utterly alone, in enemy territory, and has only this skill to stay free.

The rules change when you're in danger of losing your life and/or freedom due to the oppression of those in power; people fight wars over this, and I'm in favor of it (fighting for your Freedom, and for personal Justice, I mean; they may seem in short supply, at times, but this MC has a right to fight for his own existence, so....)

The law, in this case, only applies for as long as his kidnappers can force it on him, and to fuckery with them if he can break free!

So, sure; it's a counterfeiting scene, and he is starting to sell them to multiple locations making for possible racketeering charges, but...

If the country he is in actually had racketeering charges, and a patent system, and a way to prevent people from doing this, they would have a level of society much higher than the one demonstrated in the first few chapters.

Nation states that have a mindset stuck in the Medieval era generally don't worry about such laws, other than in the way a king (or committee) might take advantage of it for themselves...

So I feel like he's good on that front.
