at its most basic level, miyagi likes the company and sendai likes that she can be herself. i don't wanna say much more because i forget how much the manga has covered about their personal/family lives but i would very much suggest reading the LNs to better understand them

i get that it might feel that way now but that’s just cause it’s a slow burn. although it is a bit frustrating with the manga’s super slow release pace which is why i’d recommend reading the web novel

I was worried they’d cut out some of the feet-licking in the manga, glad to see they have their priorities straight.

Honestly tho, for non-LN/WN readers, it sounds weird but I genuinely do think it’s important to the plot and their character development.

Also, in comparing this chapter to the first, the art style upgrade is kinda incredible. I liked the more simplistic vibes of the earlier chapters but some of the art in this one surprised me with how good it was, particularly Miyagi’s expressions.
