As a big fan of the LN/WN, I really appreciate this manga for toeing the line between the tone of the source material and its own more unique/cute interpretation (although it’s honestly pretty close to the vibe that the recent WN chapters have). Makes experiencing the story in this format more enjoyable, and in some way highlights how angsty these two can seem when the perspective is all inside their heads.

Miyagi has 2 friends, Maika and Ami, you should have seen them hanging out quite frequently in high school. But Ami doesn't go to the same uni (nor even in the same city) as Miyagi and Maika so she's just out of the plot now.
