The guys who survived were affected by multiple sclerosis.
They were frozen to keep them alive until a cure is found for multiple sclerosis. After that, it turns out they were immune against the MK virus, so they were thawed.

The other guys were frozen to keep them alive until a cure is found for the MK virus. That guy died because there was still no cure.

I dont get why Erika wants to hide what happened? Karen literally just told Doi everything. that the incident was because of Erika and that Takamatsu bully will die anyways. unless Erika was in on it with karen and Karen told her to do all that? so basically Erika wants to hide the fact she did this all because Karen told her? at least that would make sense.

Karen's still mysterious but she's one sidedly and indirectly tying up loose ends for Doi here. even get his bully the comeuppance. although Doi obviously has a mind of his own here but he hasnt acted yet.
