Not believable. Once you are that wealthy even if you have negative wealth in the millions you can not become homeless. You can just survive on debt because having had wealth in the past gives you some credit. Super wealthy people always have money hidden away in assets so even if you were billions in debt you could still live an opulent lifestyle on hidden assets that could not be taken by debt collectors. You would be penniless on paper but have millions to spend on in reality.

For example Trump is actually utterly in debt. He owes a lot of money to lots of people and his businesses are always failing. He is either committing tax fraud or he is a horrible business man. This failing business situation is what allows Trump to pay $0 in taxes. He might pay some taxes but he gets all of it back in the refund.

@iblues I don't know why you cited a source on homelessness in America, while the setting is in Japan. Rare or not, it's not impossible that a woman happen to be homeless. A former pornstar became homeless in Las Vegas. Her beauty didn't save her. Did you expect the MC to become a prostitute? That manga is that manga. Nothing to do with this, as I can see.

I live in CA, and I've seen a fair number of homeless people, both male and female. Been to another country, Vietnam, and I saw similar split. I'm not saying this should be a competition or that we should look too deep into this. But it's just that seeing a homeless woman at her age isn't out of the realm of reality to me at all, regardless of what country.

This is one of the best regression story (at least the starting line of a story) I've read. The reaction when she came back, her personality changing after going through hardships, her starting to realize the preciousness of money, crying when eating Takoyaki, it's all portrayed so well in both the writing and the art style.

@iblues Your arguments were false, if I'm reading this correctly her wealth comes from her father, which got into a scandal (?) and commited suicide, but she didn't just went homeless right away.

According to page 6 she tried to use her beauty to rely on rich men, only to find out that they only wanted her body, and discarded her when she grew older. The text suggests that she only got homeless during her early-mid 40s (p5 says she passed her 30s), which makes sense given the context, and the time she died was around her late 40s (p6 says she's near 50)

Edit: After reading a few chapters in, this manga turned out to be fairly mediocre. The author keeps recycling the same comedy skit using the "misunderstanding" cliché. I expected more from this with how it started out only to be disappointed.
