I don't get Ibelina. She literally did change the story, and she still thinks it's impossible?? The other stuff is at least kinda understandable, but this is the one part of her whole shtick that really confuses me. Why is she so stuck on believing the events of the novel can't be changed, when she literally already changed them? More than once?

she's literally following the story but at this time she'll be the heroine who reject alejandro's feeling

It's been a while since I caught up with the latest chapter. I kind of understand Ibelina but at same time she frustrates me, a lot. How long will Alejandro gotta wait. You can do it Duke, wait for her! I'm looking forward for more development. Uggghhh!~

Thank you so much for translating!

lilliana... you are definitely my favorite character in this story! Ibelina’s logic is really stupid! She isn’t even dense! She just thinks that everything will go as the story did! Alejandro? Nothing against him, just a bit childish but still a great character. That other handsome guy whose name I forgot? It felt like he was added in last second to give the story some extra drama, also seems pretty boring and basic. The chef? Love her but she is a side character, and everyone else besides a few maids are assholes. But lilliana? She is a badass, she literally rejected a girl in the most harmless and least dramatic way possible. Not only that, but she also basically said, “bet” when challenged! I love her! XD

I don't get the hate on Ibee. Like yes she's following the novel but she's also being logical in that she's weighing her social status in the decisions she's making. She's not only rejecting Ale because plot but also because she feels they shouldn't stand equally (at least to the eyes of others). He's a Duke and a new young Duke who still needs to prove himself to the society that had shunned him before. There's also the dangers coming from the Imperial family... and personally, would rather not have Ibelina be a part of that mess without more allies. And I believe she will receive allies when she goes out there and explores more of the world. I'm all for a Cinderella story but I would hate to see Ibelina battle with such a handicap against powerful foes. She hasn't been a damsel in distress this whole time and I'm glad that they're not going to let her be (and hopefully never).

The cliche “but in the story!” Ughh....tbh it’s like saying to believe in a prophecy.....I don’t nessarily disagree with what she is doing but the way she is doing it was what was truely troubling.....Now she turned a knight into a mere maid..
Honestly if I met her in that situation I would feel like she is trying to be needlessly dramatic and playing the role of a noble...
I can’t nessarily disagree with this story as whole but it really creeps me out, it started out as ‘child grooming’, I know she helped him out too but it was still creepy...I feel like I should drop this but it also feels close to the end too...

@roxanneayy it was common for nobles to take maids as mistress or even concubines. The problem here is that Ibee was NOT acting logical.

- She made the duke search for her.
- She didn't tried to keep it secret or at least a "not so secret" so that only a close circle knew
- She flirted with other guys inside the mannor
- She never gave the duke either a yes or a no, just acted brain dead for 2 years or so
- She left the mannor without telling the duke and he thought she was in trouble so he used all his knights to search for her

The problem is that her instead of telling him "yes lets date but we must be discreet" or "I don't want to date you, please find someone else" she just pretended having brain damage and forced the duke to act more and more rash to get a simple yes/no answer.

@Faryshta Mmmm... It's been a while since I read this and it didn't really leave a lasting impression so I can't really remember her acting brain dead so Idk for sure how to respond to that. lol So, I'll just skip that. xD

Flirting with other guys isn't wrong especially since she wasn't even completely convinced the Duke likes her. And even if you call it her being in denial, she's still allowed to flirt with other guys. She's allowed to do what she wants to do. She wasn't and isn't dating the Duke.

I still think her going out into the world is the best decision but I do agree that how she went about it was wrong/misguided. If she hadn't been found, it could've left a lasting effect on the duke similar to the original story which was dumb of her. Still, I don't get the hate. For her, this was what made sense as misguided as it was. I guess, because I understood her thought process- how she came about her decision, I can't hate her. People make misguided decisions all the time but just the hate for her felt a little too much at the time when I was reading it.

The duke have been telling her exactly that in detail for years. Everyone in the mannor knows it, EVERYONE. That is the problem. And thats what I mean with her acting brain dead.

My god. If she really believed that things should follow the story, she shouldn't have intervened and let the boy suffer when he was young. Oh but she couldn't do that could she? She could've just stayed away but she didn't do that did she? So why the hell is she trying to use that as an excuse.

It is frustrating, but she's right, the plot has followed the novel almost exactly. I just wish she'd focus of the part she changed. You do have the power to change the plot, you have already, so have more confidence!

Damn that was quite the mature move. I kinda hoped for a cheeky line "I'll make you fall for me!".

That said I'm sure Ibee is worried about the main novel's ending so she can't keep herself away as the observer of the events for too long.

Now people calling the love immature, I'd like to introduce Kazusa from WA2. Sure her love for Haruki was illogical, but then again it was only Haruki who fixed up her life and put her back in society. How can you just move on from that kind of person, better yet hate that person? Ibee played the same role here, as Haruki did.

She already had the "I changed the story's plot" revelation years ago. Not sure why it hasn't occurred to her that it can change again.
