An abuser will abuse regardless of faith or lack of thereof. The proposition that the abuser does it because they are faithless is a fallacy, and a misunderstanding of the structure of morality and ethics.

If a God is your compass, then what freedom do you have? If the god commands to love, you obey. If the god commands to hate, you obey. If the god commands to kill, you obey. For the god is good, superior and knows all. The structure is vertical, and the believer is at the bottom.

On the other hand, humanists takes their ethics and morality values from our common understanding of society. Being empathic, making sure that those who surround us have as much rights as we do. The structure is horizontal, all trying to reinforce each other.

She believes the world is wrong so she acts wrong to catch up, not seeing she has turn herself into part of the problem. She saw wrong and ignored it like the many comments that think this is about religion. no, this is about ignorance in general. Someone who can only see themselves cannot see anything else. So, what you believe must be the only truth in the world, right? If even hinako can see that she is not the only truth, what makes your truth different? What makes the one truth you see right? there are many ways to believe a truth. even you, may have a different truth from the people who agree with you, even the ones who given you that truth in the first place believe it a different way. There exist people who will use atheism to isolate themselves from the world, kill or excuse their own unforgivable sins. there is no god so why should it matter? but there also exist people who use not having a god to form their own determinations, do what others could not or try something you never believed you could have done before. that's what it means to have a belief. that's why religion is complicated. Even this, is my truth?
