Site Update - 13th of June 2023

The main focus this time around was on our work translating the website, with two highlights:

1. Roughly 3x as much of the site is now ready for UI translations.
2. Spanish was added to the list of interface language options.


There is still significant work left to have the site fully translated, but we're getting there. (note: yes, website interface translations will be opened for external contribution once we have made further progress)


Added:

- The following languages were added as chapter/title language options: Albanian, Georgian, and Telugu

- In most language dropdowns that didn't have it yet, the language options are accompanied by the relevant flag icon

- In the title drafts page, there is now a short explanation of the what and why of title drafts

- In the uploader, multiple duplicate pages now result in multiple descriptive duplicate page warnings (instead of just a single generic one)

- In user pages, groups for which the user is also the group leader now get a little crown icon


Changed:

- In the title edit page, title guidelines are now displayed (instead of being present only at title creation time)


Fixed:

- Fix an issue where "open in forums" prompt on chapter icon would be shared across all chapters of a chapter list, instead of only the relevant one

- Fix an issue where in some cases the follow button would not work on author/group pages (note: that feature still doesn't do anything particularly useful right now)

- Fix an issue where the new reader progress bar would have styling inconsistencies in RTL mode when placed at the bottom of the screen

- Fix an issue where the reader would always add browser history entries even when configured not to

- Fix an issue where the reader's "limit max height" setting wasn't working

- Fix an issue where the group/user block searches would be blank on the settings page

- Fix an issue where Shift+Escape would be caught by the site, preventing its use as a general browser shortcut (apparently for some browsers' task manager)

- Fix an issue where the title of the page could end up being "MangaDex - MangaDex", which was a bit silly

- Fix an issue where the tabs on a user page could become non-functional in some circumstances

- Fix an issue where the guidelines sections in the uploader, chapter edit, and title create/edit pages would have a "X" button on the top right that didn't do anything

- Fix some of the issues causing the redirection after login to fail (we're not sure that we caught all cases, but it should work more reliably now)

21/06/23 Small update;

This update features plenty of internal refactoring, which isn't something very visible for you at the moment, but opens the way for more themes.



Added:

- On chapter upload page, in the "Pages" section, added a button that allows you to upload a new image to replace the selected one.

- Added a new theme based on the popular Dracula color scheme



Changed:

- Updated the content rating tooltip on title draft/edit page to further clarify the intents of each content rating selection.



Fixed:

- Fixed an issue that caused the "Covers" label on title edit page to appear as "Coverss"

- Fixed an issue that caused the close button on the reader settings modal to not show for mobile devices
