Slime Saint - Vol. 1 Ch. 7 - My Misdeeds Are Not Mine

Yeah, probably, but this slime's thinking is still pretty alien. Last chapter, he was pretty clearly trying to stab her with a knife, and her biggest worry was that he'd realize she wasn't human if he saw her weird slime blood.

I honestly don't know what he expected would happen, maybe he was just that desperate. I'm quite surprised she told him of the poison before he made his sister drink it. I thought she would go "Hahahahaha, how does it feel, to kill your own sister with your own hand! Don't worry though, I'm sure your sister can no longer feel any pain now, haha...HAHAHAHAHA." Like that.

What I don't really understand is why he show such despair, maybe I would understand if he made his sister drink that poison or actually kill the maid to get potion for his sister and to find out it was for nothing. But he let the maid go, and his sister is still sick but alive. Basically, he just got back to square one...wait not even square one, it is likely that if he wasn't the one to do it, some other person would've killed her under her order, too afraid to defy her. Meaning he actually saved one life, doesn't get himself or his sister killed for his attempt at outwitting her(surprisingly) and an additional free bottle of poison that he likely used to kill her.

Though I guess that's because unlike him, I have zero expectation she would actually heal my sister properly and wouldn't bother to ask in the first place

We have no idea why original "saintess" Jelly was like that. My guess is, she wasn't original at all, but was possessed or replaced by a demon.

I can entertain the idea. Possessed by a demon was likely, until right now we don't get much info on why the og jelly was like that. But i find it weird of calling "Saintess" power came from by hurting people XD

I was thinking of a different manga. In there, the protagonist's engagement to the prince was cancelled, and instead the prince was planning to marry a "saintess", whose magic seemed to do good and bad in equal measure. Of course, the protagonist was the real saintess, who did good things without drawbacks.

Alright, so nothing bad has actually happened to his sister Emma, she's just sick and in need of treatment. I'm pleasantly surprised to see the tortured maid wasn't actually killed, Will saved her and gave her a chance to escape and live a new life. I hope she did get away and start over with a better life. If this had been a story where Will is the MC, I'm pretty sure that maid would've become a love interest, but this isn't about him or her.

I'm guessing the poison she handed over to him to give to his sister, is the very same poison he used against her before he dumped her body in the woods. Ironic from the old Jelly's POV and poetic justice from Will's POV. Literally giving her a taste of her own medicine in that case.

So new Jelly didn't reveal any secrets yet. I was expecting her to tell him to afford his trust but it didn't happen. Asking him to trust her is a tall order without some kind of proof, so we'll see how this works.

I don't get why people blaming Will the Glasses Butler so much here. I mean isn't it common sense to save a person in distress despite "tricking". Also the reason he want to kill OG Jelly is because he knows in his heart she could kill her sister anytime soon when she shows the poison (also the spoiler reason next chapter).
