I imagine that when the Goddess was considering what kind of blessing to give Jelly, she just though 'you know what would be funny?' and went with super strength just for fun.

Maybe the 'slime' mixing into OG!Jelly's blood along with the 'saint'/blessing + that butterfly thing boosted her?

The other slime "girl" doesn't seem to have that strength

well we don't know if she's a fighter but i assume she chose to be a merchant on purpose (if that's not her original body's job)
versus being an adventurer
