You know, for being a mere Slime, her Talk no Jutsu is crazy high. She always somehow manages to hit the core of the issue.
This is what people miss out on the Talk no Jutsu. Even Naruto, mocked as he is for this, first defeated his opponents physically and then defeated them again with Talk no Jutsu.
No one will listen to you without strength to back-up your words.
She suplexed and punched through a tree like last chapter. She defeated him totally.

With all the conspiracies slowly being unraveled, I really am curious if Jelly was as scummy as she was at face value, or if there really was more to it then that. I still really like the theory that she was already possessed, and the the slime is actually her original soul, coming back on home, and I'll keep holding that torch waiting for them to reveal it! :dogkek:

I’m CONVINCED he was brainwashed, maybe even magically, and she broke through it… or well, gave him the hints and tool to break free, at the very least.
Yeah, he was vulnerable to even mundane manipulation, but I’m sure there was magic used to help him ignore or blur the inconsistencies.

I really hope he’ll join her. Q-Q

Jelly just keeps on doing what a Saint does best : solving conflict and forgiving the misguided !

That’s actually an interesting theory… let see how it goes !

I do like the acknowledgment on the last page that Jelly has very little context for what the heck Berger is saying. She can tell he's deeply conflicted and has a functional moral compass, but she was entirely responding to what he said, without the knowledge of his backstory.
