There aren't enough hours in the day to list all of the people that want the real Jelly dead. Slime-Jelly is going to have her work cut out for her.

So it was poison. Still sloppy. Though if it was the previous saint, with her personality she'd have insisted on taking the cookies for herself, rather than allowing the orphans to taste any. But then again she would have tried to avoid going there in the first place, and she might've been suspicious about the poison as well. So it's still a very poor plan.

She can just excuse her poison resistance on being a saint. No big deal. If she can cure the orphans, she can cure herself.

He's like one of those animals you pull out of a pit that immediately just runs away and falls into another one.

Well, they do call her the Heinous Villainess, so the heroic tone fits. Also, using dehumanizing language helps ease your conscience, kind of like in military language you don't say 'kill', but 'engage and destroy targets'.

The slime mimics human blood, and evidently does so too well, at the expense of increased metabolism resulting in monstrous appetite.

Exactly what I was thinking. Original Jelly probably was so demented that the Goddess took her saint powers away. The interesting implication here is that slime Jelly is now officially recognized by the Goddess herself by letting her using holy powers, which means the Goddess is perfectly fine with a monster Saint.
