Since long life was mentioned, lets talk lifespans! Most octopi sadly lack long lifespans. Despite this, they are very popular in the exotic aquatic pet niche! Octopuses are typically very curious creatures with a penchant for problem solving and a need for mental stimulation. It isnt uncommon for octopus owners to make little games for their eight-limbed friends, such as placing crabs in cups with screw-on lids, or making little mazes for them! Just be sure to keep a tight lid on your cephylopod's tank, if you ever get one. Octopi have a bad habit of leaving their tanks to explore... Especially if theres a tank with crabs nearby.

Oh! And, you can build trust with your octopi to the point they'll come up to your hand and take food from it! It's very cute.
