@100thlurker I absolutly disagree with you. Its like you meet a co worker outside of work and he "forces" you to spend time and communicate with him. Ofc its out of question to ignore him if there are work related issues at work, but now its her freetime. Anything more than a greeting is harrassment, IF she doesnt want to talk and she clearly doesnt. You obviously see how uncomforable she is.

Imo you arent even obligated to talk during break time at work. Of course this makes you an outcast, but as long as she doesnt want to change it, you should leave her at silence. You may interpet such behaviour as rude and antisocial, I can agree with that, but he basically intervenes in her private sphere without her consent, while she doesnt possess the strength to prevent him from this.

And yeah, of course he didnt have ill meanings by this and this is by far not any way near the level of assault or something like that, still its a bad experience for her, which could have all kind of consequences from isolating herself even more to traumas, nightmares and so on.

;tldr back off dude.

sorry I'm going with the common courtesy in this, they're partners and need to communicate and her being socially inept then she should of protested when they were assigned the roles they were given. Also for the argument that it's her personal time. I disagree they are going to a house to work on their project. It's in the realm of work.
