It's following the same old playbook at this point. Hopefully, something more original happens instead. I am glad she rebounded this chapter because her reasoning for not confessing was also a bit too "standard" (meaning it made little sense). If we do go the predictable route hopefully it also wraps up quickly.

Betting this new girl was so touched by their 5-second conversation that she suddenly decided our MC was her destined person. She was struggling and Shun's words "saved her" or something, so she kept the candy as a symbol to remember that moment. I'll put 5 on it. Of course, this also might mean Shun will somehow not get her feelings across before then. We'll see if I'm close at all.

I was rolling my eyes at yet another fucking waste of time for 10 more chapters...was really glad for that...just to turn and see what is likely a nice delusional rival appearing who has zero chance just to get some more tropes in to the manga before it ends.
