That was true at first. Before he gained a single stat boost. He was still in the hospital at that point too. Now he's far stronger, so the same place that once be barely survived should become much more survivable. But that assumes the punishment does not scale to reflect his own status - which it would be a problem.

But this hasn't been covered (by any translated chapters at least), and presumably he hasn't been punished even once since the first time. I'm speculating that he might be able to handle it now. And if he can handle it, he has access to better monsters than he'd get in a C class dungeon. So that's a good opportunity. Perhaps he'd get better drops too? In that case he can just do one less pushup.

It's not really a punishment if it throws you into an easy to grind area, and while the system seems to be pushing to keep him alive.. trying to game it seems like a terrible way to go. It would be far more reasonable to assume that the punishment will scale to his power.
