The MC is being smart about revealing his powers. Remember that he's been rising at an exponential rate, but he's only at lower S-rank right now. His rise is way too rapid and it's also continuous while everyone else's rank is static. It's only now that he's able to reveal himself as S is seen as the apex and him becoming stronger while at the apex wont be seen as unusual. If, however, he'd have been clocked as an A-rank and then risen to an S-rank, going from an E to A to S, people would get suspicious. Remember that this is a merciless world. S-rankers would mercilessly test him to figure out how he's able to raise his rank like that. Power is everything in that world and the man that can increase his powers is a limitless threat and treasure. Then there's the matter of revealing his power. Remember that he's beaten multiple opponents by having more information before the battle and being able to surprise his opponent like that. If he goes around flaunting his skills, he'll reveal his powers and give his opponent an advantage against him. Hell, just revealing his status will put a bullseye on his back and limit his movement.
As to saving the helpless B-rankers in the dungeon, he's always been merciless like that. He does go out of his way at times for the helpless, but he'll also kill without hesitation. If he can't handle the High Orcs, for example, he'll withdraw his protection from the adventurers and raise them as his own minions to help him fight.

If you read careful, in earlier chapter. MC already told us, he need to be strong enough before tell others about the awakening. There are a few people want to kill who got awakening, or take advantage from his awakening. Thats why, when he feel he is strong enough (S rank) he go to reevaluate his rank. And now, he got 3days before the guild announce his rank. Now, he just going spend time as mineral collector

Oh fck God no!! Stopping just as things got good. Fck this manhwa is good, it know how to keep me on edge every time and almost always has something interesting happening again, I'm sincerely surprised they managed to keep such a strong pace of events so much time, the author and drawer are great.
