@kin_tin, there is an overarching plot they've been hinting at since the first season and the author is indeed taking his time, but it will be worth the wait. A lot of the world building and pieces were set up in the first season, but there's still some pieces to set up in season 2. The threads the author has tugging at will unravel a large tapestry, but it will take patience. Once certain things are revealed, the pacing should also adjust. Hopefully xD
It's frustrating having to seemingly hit dead ends, but it will be fun to go back and read things once the author reaches a certain point. You gotta trust in the author, he does take care of things!

@Kin_tin Because the story is being hard carried by the illustrator. If you actually strip Solo Leveling down to its elements it's a pretty basic power fantasy. Every character is paper-thin, the sole purpose of the world is to prop up the MC.

Though I haven't read the source material I'm guessing it's standard web novel fare, hastily written, barely edited, with prose that makes you want to gouge your eyes out with the nearest sharp object.

You ask why the author can't do anything about the plot when the answer is pretty simple, he (I'm presuming the author is a he) is not that skilled and so can't really create an engaging narrative.

The art is god tier for a webcomic though, all props to the illustrator.

Wow they really cut down to 1/6 of that dungeon's events before he leaves.

@Kin_tin its adaptation. The novel is much more detailed on everything.

edit: @nadder_fragger he just used his shadow swap to go to the dungeon and theres a huge cooldown on this skill (of hours). And Beru is stronger than pretty much any S-ranks even, he doesnt needs power backup. Tho on the novel

.... why the dragon? he could have just teleported to one of his shadows that protected her sister.. and why just bring out the ant general? he could have left the orc magic user to just incase some shit happens. and the ant general needed more help. cause the orc magic user could literally buff the team.

To all people asking why he doesn't use the teleport skill, the missing portions of the Manhwa explains why like how every other folks have been explaining.
We need the translator to update the chapter with the missing portions please.

@nadder_fragger He's using the dragon because his teleport is still on cooldown, and the ant should be enough for an A ranked dungeon, seeing as he was practically an S rank boss tha thad no problems decimating any S rank Hunter other than the mc on the island raid.

I know he can't ride kaisel every where since hes not very stealthy but he really should be keeping shadow swap off cool down for emergencies, it shouldn't be his first choice in transportation

@corvix nope it was explained in the Manhwa too, the skill has a cooldown (forgot how long tho) and he used the skill before the dungeon
@Air203776 a lot skill upgrade the more you use them maybe the MC is using it as much as possible to let it "level-up" who knows
