Let's be real: If she was included in more actual chapter panels, she'd either be "getting in the way" of the braindead drama, or would have to be revealed to be as stupid as everyone else.

It's so weird to see this extra as a microcosm of the whole series: "I want her to wind up naked and surprised, let's put lots of effort into everything except the part where how she gets that way makes any sense."

No, the NTR one shot is about work friends - coworkers. Dude tries to woo a girl, she behaves like typical idiotic girl - gives him a goal to fight for if he wants to win her, he becomes a brain dead idiot who only pursues that goal, even when the girl tries to tell him its enough or stuff, he shoes her off by telling her he isn't good enough, and always jabs her with using her as the "being" he needs to be better than, even thou he already was better than her at their job. His behaviour started to scare the girl to the point she looked for help - the other male coworker who MC asked for help early on - who was also put into the shadow of MC progression. They end up fucking - MC sees them - he decides he isn't good enough yet so his 1 way pursue to better himself continues.

It fascinates me how hated that oneshot is while its like nothing burger compared to your typical NTR stories. Its a story about 3 fucked up people and how they kinda are in a circle of fucking up themselves up even more. Some people on the comments there basically bash the girl seeing her as a worse possible human whore trash, and see the idiotic bettering-himself bot of a MC as a saint who did nothing wrong.

They weren't dating at all. The day where she "cheated" was basically a day months into the story where MC finally decided that maybe he is good enough to date her, but at that point she was basically scared oh him, she actually looked like she begged the other guy for help, and him going after her sexually was kinda the "freedom" she wanted. Or at least thats how that oneshot reads to me lol.
