Damn Kaoru lost his mom , his father basically became workaholic leaving him all alone in their house doing chores nonstop ( he makes chores for himself and to feel a bit better but still)and when finally he also starts to move on this happens and he has to leave. He just shoulders so much stuff while still being a highschooler and he even saved Nanamis life while going through all of this.

This explains the whole thing with them not going to the festival next year. They will probably live apart for a while and wont be able to go together. At least I hope thats the case and they wont break up or anything like that.
If they break up and the manga ends with something like "their romance didn't work but thanks to Kaoru Nanami was saved and became a better person " that would completely ruin the series for me.

If this were real life, this moment right here is when she'd move on from him. Most relationships don't survive long distance, specially over a few years. Hell, most relationships don't survive near-distance.

Honestly, I'd dig if they each went their separate ways, and then have a friendly, non-romantic meeting years later in an epilogue. It doesn't happen often enough in manga/anime. Only one I remember doing something similar is Byousoku 5 Centimeter.
I agree but these two have been together for some pretty intense phases of their lives(especially Nanami) and are kinda pushed as soulmates(trope). I think they will be strong enough to atleast try LDR. One question regarding the spoiler
they don't really date do they? They had feelings for each other but life kept them apart or something like that right? So this wouldn't be the exact case would it? I think Jun Waidan's Chapter 1 fits the scenario more.

I think they'll do long distance for a while but then gradually lose contact, and after a few years Kaoru will return to find that Nanami has built a life with another man. She'll then thank him saying "thank you for allowing me to live my life to the fullest".

I've personally known people who have successfully made New York to California relationships work for years until they could get married and live together.

Wth the power of plot, Tokyo to Osaka isn't unrealistic.

Realistically most relationships break up distance or not. Most of us aren't here for that.

Just get married and move in together along with the dad! Multi-generational households seem to be pretty common in Japan anyway!
Problem solved!

The fact that there are people in here unironically commenting on this dogshit, comically predictable story is hilarious.
