There's something so annoying about a brat that pushes his naive ideals on someone like he has any idea what is going on. It's obvious he cares about his friend but if he had any sign of rationality that wasn't childish indignation he'd understand his friend loves her father and struggles to communicate with him.

The smart thing to do as a friend who wants the best for his friend would be to try and have these two have a heart to heart instead of yelling at the father like you have any idea what's going on.
