see i'm not even strictly anti-mtl translations. if the translator is upfront about it and actually putting in effort for formatting and proofreading (and isn't paywalling), it's a useful tool for someone who doesn't know the origin language. but if it's done by someone who either doesn't know the translation language or doesn't care enough to proofread at all, then you're just making yourself look like a piece of shit. especially for a regularly updated series.

tl;dr thank you for this translation, i read a bit of the mtl chapter without realizing and my god half the dialogue is nonsense.

It's the "doing it for a regularly updated series" part that is what really annoys me. If this was being done on some long abandoned series a lot of us would be damn happy to get anything close to a continuing translation. Jumping in here with a shoddy 1/4 ass translation job isn't a good look. At best it feels like they're being petty and impatient.

I don’t care how slow you release chapters, as long as there’s a good schedule (weekly, every other week, monthly, etc) and give us proper warning of any breaks (life gets in the way wcyd). I want good quality TLs, not slop that puts me off the manga

There's a few groups that use it but their work is pretty good. And they don't snipe, they work on their own stuff. This other guy is just a fucking tool.

I would have to assume that the assassins aren't from the main group of bad guys but it is kind of weird how with all his meddling the story hasn't deviated much from what happens in game. You would expect it to have started to deviate somewhat, certainly if something as important as the assassination of a monarch is prevented.
