Well I don't really care as long as bookwalker stays bookwalker.

Sony took over A-1 studios, and the conditions are revealed to be a sweatshop. This was 10 years ago.
wasn't A-1 established by Sony (Aniplex) themselves, which make it Sony-owned studio from the start?

plus, I'm pretty sure that anime studios being sweatshop is already an issue across studios, not just Sony

No wonder the music I bought from playstation has no cover image and no number... just pulled from a folder and they did not even bother putting a category.

I doubt Bookwalker will continue to be Bookwalker. I'm pretty sure it will decay vastly. Given how Sony was greedy in the video game domain, it won't be good. I'm worried for boowalker, seriously.
Is it the SAME SONY that closed THE PLAYSTATION STUDIO????

Sony might have eaten a losing product this time.

I guess there will be more layoffs, then people will be controlled by government to prevent rioting?

Haven't I seen this last year with Google, Amazon, and Twitter?

Having mulled this over some, this seems like a very typical Japanese vertical integration move - Sony would potentially get control of licensed properties from the initial publication through production of adaptations/derivatives in other media to distribution and localization. Not thrilled by it, but not at all surprised either.

I'm hoping anti-trust regulators block this, else it's very likely sony's current stance on censoring games bleeds out to manga and anime

Sony will get IP for Natural Doctrine and the old games.

Sony will probably try to haggle.
