Kaerikuro's "mother" upbringing makes total sense now... she was destroying her self-esteem so that she would stay as her puppet all her life, just another schemer that got their slimy little paws into a golden goose and was terrified of losing "it".


The probable reason that Kurenai doesn't know about that cult is that after Kaerikuro left, it dissolved quickly because it didn't have access to true power anymore, and people lost faith in it leading to bankruptcy.
