"most murderous and brutal"
bruh, nature is murderous and brutal fundamentally by, well, nature. Most predators don't even mercy kill their catches, they eat them alive. You're looking for other words, like determined, or methodical.

@nazrinMaus I don't think predators will eat their prey alive. They will struggle and maybe inflict some small wounds. And you probably already know, but small wounds can be extremely fatal to predators. They don't have medicine thus every wound can mean death.

Killing your prey ensures no struggle or any accident, only a small amount eat their prey alive. Hyenas maybe?

I see a big difference between animals killing for food, and humans (and cats) killing just for the fun of it.
Humans (and cats) are murderous and brutal by choice. Nature is brutal by necessity.

Side note: Why the heck are cats so different than every other animal aisde from humans? They hunting and killing just to do so. My sister's cat used to kill squirrels and birds and then just leave them there to rot.

Not entirely true either, at least aside from psychopaths who actually do enjoy that. The game of life isn't just about eating. For example, hunting the Dobuwana to extinction isn't just "brutal and murderous", it's ensuring the victory of humanity by removing their main check, as you said.

As for domestic cats, they've been kept as pest killers for ages. It's basically their job to kill small creatures. Just like how duck hunting dogs will kill birds yet not eat them, it's how they've been wired.

@ZeroLight315
You'd think so, but typically a predator only goes far enough to render the prey unable to fight back. They don't deliberately deliver the killing blow, they don't need to. By the time they're eating them, the prey usually can't even flail around.

So you're telling me that this motherfucker not only is responsible for the modern dogs, but also maybe created a tamed species of mammoth? Damn.

This reminds me of the term White Elephant exchange. Its a story of the King of Siam giving people who displeased him an albino elephant. The recipient would be forced to keep the gift as giving it back would be seen as an utmost insult, eventually keeping the elephant fed would become an extremely expensive nuisance for the recipient. I hope honestly the villagers bleed It and eat the poor beast Its merely competition for food.
