There are many things Serie may be planning, but I don't think she's coming out of it alive either.
I don't think it impossible either that she would do something and die to become a martyr of a new era of magic or something like that, but the hiatus tells me that even the author doesn't know exactly what he wants to do here.

Also the reins remark is going to spawn some unglody fan art.
See you guys in 1~2 years.

I don't really think that the authors don't know what they really want to do. I bet 80% that they had planned most of the vital events, including the end of this arc, so the main problem here is how to describe it in the intriguingly yet rationally. So far the manga hasn't got any plot hole or out-of-characters kind of things, so I think the infinite hiatus is just for the anime comming next year.

Indefinite? Japanese used to be hard working people.
Yes, and they have some of the highest suicide rates in the world, as well as some of the highest rates of death by overwork among developed countries.

Do you want this artist to share the same fate as Toriyama (Dragon Ball) and Miura (Berserk)? Is your entertainment worth more than human lives?

sounds like Serei wants to die to pass magic on to the next gen even though there are those trying to kill magic.

Imo what Serie wants is to continue Flamme's dream and for that she needs a future where the least amount of casualities will happens

That's why all these mages who exceeds her expectation is here, because for Serie, a warmongering mage, it'd be easy to kill everybody. The problem with that is the public will never understand why this happened and will only live in fear of magic.

I also think it is along these lines, though I can see how everything looks like death flags.

What, dear numbskull, do you think the plot is? The one that you think has been on hiatus.
What I started reading this for, dear numbskull, was the nostalgic retracing of the original party's journey. Frieren growing and connecting with her current party as their journey finally helps her understand the actions of her past party.

Sadly that series is deader than Himmel; the author seems more interested now in writing a standard action-fantasy story. And frankly they're not all that good at it.

Then it's your fault for expecting it to be something it never was. Also you're the one with the skull pfp, not me. Guess that went over your head as well. Now, the only question that remains is, after 100 chapters, why you're still reading something you clearly don't like. Use what little brains you have for once.
