The truly masochistic part of reading this manga is the way that a year passes with each chapter, because I know that in about 50-60 chapters Fern is going to die, and it’s going to fucking destroy me.

That said, the way Frienen and the dwarf sleep is just lmao

@Kampfarsch Your personal beliefs are biasing your judgment here. A quick search on Google Scholars yielded empirical literature reviews that identified robust positive associations between religious involvement and psychological wellbeing as well as negative association with substance use.

Several studies have found belief in an afterlife to be related to lower anxiety (Ellison, Burdette, & Hill, 2009), less psychological distress in the face of hardship (Bradshaw & Ellison, 2010), and less incidence of a range of mental illnesses (Flannelly, Koenig, Ellison, Galek, & Krause, 2006).

While the articles do discuss instances where these effects are less robust or even detrimental, that's irrelevant to the current discussion since we are not weighing the costs and benefits of organized religion but personal faith. Religions and beliefs hold value within its niche as long as some people benefit from them. I'm an atheist myself, but I know religious people who are perfectly respectable and who've done great things driven by their faith.

I see when people looking down at others for a simple reason of different perspective of thinking is actually pretty stupid. Paying them no mind is the best way to do

This is really something. It's like a very sad love story, and only after the person who loved her is dead and gone is she starting to realize her feelings and what the time spent with him meant.

Every time they did a picture montage I'm kinda worried over how many years that might've took.

damn she's so expressionless that I can't help but wonder what kind of emotion she's feeling in the cover picture

is it happiness? sadness? boredom? loneliness? is she angry? perhaps mad?

Fun fact Anor Londo was inspired by a real cathedral in Italy.

I think the demon castle is actually just a mishmash of other famous architecture. To name what i can see: Big Ben, the leaning tower of Pisa, the extension of towers from Castlevania, and some other famous cathedrals.

Surely it can't be a coincidence that the Demon Lord's castle is where Aureole would be. Either the Demon Lord is the result of that "Soul Research" due to some horrible mistake someone made, or Demon Kind made their capital where Aureole would be in the hope of finding it after it disappeared. That, or maybe the demons were actually the protectors of the gateway to such a place, and the Demon Lord was either a malfunction in the original spell used or simply the manifestation of negative energy given off by some of those who have died over the years. This last possibility could be an interesting segway to another Demon Lord appearing again one day and Frieren gathering up another party to help remove the Demon Lord like a dentist would to plaque. :p

@zdarkbrz_816 She's probably wondering what to eat for dinner. Roasted fowl or mushroom stew? It's a hard decision to make, sometimes. :D

You've heard about McMansions. Now, meet the McCastle.

Seriously. That thing is an architectural abomination. It seems the owner was not only the Demon King, but also the Demon of Bad Taste.
