Really good story. Not often you get a gem like this imo.

You have many manga out there that are superb, but this onw has all of my guilty pleasures and a insanely well executed story and depth.

It has en elf girl mc, magic, fantasy, perspective of a very long life, and good character development. Only thing that is possibly a bit off is the development of the world. How much progress does the world make? Arguably more than what is shown in this manga, or maybe not. I dunno. If you go back to 1500 in our world, the changes in everyday life is surely not as much as we experience it today, in the 2000’s. Only 10 years we’ve seen the rise of the Internet companies.. and now I’m rambling lol. Anyways, good manga, super solid and intriguing.

and thus hurts to read every time without needed a tissue every chapter or so.

You just don't grasp it. It's easy to understand.
It's about a journey of the longest living creature who can lives for a millenium but has to see every her journey comrade die one by one from old age.

Since she looks like a young teen, she probably less than 200 y.o. and still has 300-500 years more to reach the peak of young adult (around 29 y.o. human)

She wants to know how other creature enjoy their short lifespan especially human during that time.

It's a slice of life if you want to categorize one, so it's not muscle head brawling with angsty child who thought the world is fun game.

Another popular story that similar to this, is "Fumetsu no Anata e"/ "To Your Eternity". The difference is, the MC is immortal and able to give immortality to his comrades.

The legend of the Frieren's party heroic saga will be forgotten as fact and treated as myth, just look at how their statue is not treated well.
There will be war happens between human or races, and also her journey is all about reminiscing and grave visits to her old companion.

This dwarf has fabulous hair, hairs, mustache and beard!
It would be a good idea if a lot of old fantasies mangas get a revival for 20 chapter to see the conclusion of the adventure, or the next generations like jojo's saga.
