Just once, I would like to see the MC in an Isekai try to describe rice and get handed a bowl of barley. Really, milled (or 'pearled') barley is just like what he just described, and doesn't taste that different from rice. And I'm certain that if that conversation happened in Europe instead of pseudo-Europe, (and if they weren't in a part of Europe that ALREADY HAD RICE because it was brought to Europe by Alexander the Great and has been eaten in Mediterranean Europe and North Africa ever since) that people would have thought the MC was describing barley instead of saying 'nope, never heard a nothin like that' like in the Isekais.

My spouse is part Japanese.
Not only are they shite at cooking rice (literally the only thing they can't cook), but they do not give a single shit about not having it.
This idiotic obsession with rice is like demanding that every restaurant you go to be able to serve steak, or rye bread.

It's just a matter of staple/comfort food. Japan and other asian countries have rice for that, and of course not all asians love rice, but I'll definitely exert some effort in finding similar food in another world.

On another note, in the future maybe that lamp will be the village's heritage/treasure while it grows into a bigger city that can rival the capital
There's a forest and a mountain full of monsters, materials, and a dragon nearby so it can be a nice source of income for material specialists and adventurers.

Why is this middle of nowhere inn serving Michelin star food? Bruv should be lucky to get hardtack and broth. What was the point of constantly showing the core and the lamp? Filler. Just like how my finger filled the screen with swipes to SKIP!

About time to move on to something else. Fuck all has happened in 10 of 11 chapters if you condensed anything of interest. MC is brain dead. Pet is called a cub and looks like a lazy pokemon rip-off. Everything is way too simple. Everyone is way too happy, way too good at everything, and way too rich (but shop keep can't afford a bathtub). I'd rather read one of the other world pharmacy manga if I want a chill story and I stopped reading that because it was all dialogue with 1 of 5 chapters about actual pharmacy-ing.
