This is TL;DR and just a trivia about Kyarasusu
It's kind of funny but the Kyarasusu apparently is not a katakana but actually is made of 3 kanji characters (taken from the raws and also has furigana to show their intended pronunciation) and each one's meaning is kind of weird if you put them 3 together:
伽 (kya) - attendant
羅 (ra) - Latin (the kanji the Japanese uses for the Latin language - similar to how they refer to the U.S.A. as 'beikoku' or rice kingdom)
煤 (susu) - soot
The 3 characters sound weird when put together but the first two characters, 'kyara', is technically a japanese word which means aloes-wood/agarwood a.k.a. Wood of the Gods and is a type of aromatic wood and is sometimes used as incense for rituals/worship. So in combination with 'susu' (no not the the Filipino word for 'breasts' or the Indonesian term for milk), which stands for 'soot' or the carbon remains after burning wood (in this case after burning the agarwood incense), it suggests that the giant worm named 'Kyarasusu' is like suggesting the worm's divine nature as if it was born from the soots after a ritual for the gods.

Who cares, you snobbish wuss? That's something worth its weight in gold to farmers, and can help produce more food for people in needs. Like, I dunno, the people whose village was destroyed a few chapters ago and could use a boost in their production of fruits. Or maybe in future chapters, they'll encounter some other people in need. It's not like storing it in his magical storage is an issue.
