Loid: I have prepared every countermeasure to deal with her. I got this!

Melinda: My husband is an alien.

Lol, even if there suddenly are aliens, it would not be that surprising, SpyXFamily fanboys seem to forget that the author really dislikes his own work, so it would be an interesting case of self-sabotage

If I had to guess, I'd say she just believes Donovan to be an Alien rather than him actually being one. I've heard of people who were CONVINCED their family members had been replaced by aliens due to changes in behavior. It's almost the same behavior as if she said her husband is possessed, she doesn't recognize him anymore.

I only wish to the author to know if this is the plot, it's going to give a shot right in the head of the story and the audience graph will go like stock exchanges in 29.

Option one (boring): She’s testing him, see how he reacts to crazy talk and see if she can really trust him with her deep emotional trouble.

Option two (interesting): She’s a mad lady that believes in the occult, aliens, conspiracy theories, and has not vaccinated her family.

Option three (best): Aliens are canon now in the manga, Desmond is actually one. Throw every theory out the window. Ayy lmao.
Option 4: Desmond is actually a good guy, just lacking the ability to show expressions, and all the alien stuff is a misunderstanding; everything is solved amicably, thanks to Anya's telepathy, but after the arc conclusion the reader is shown that aliens DO actually exist...

Expectation: DanDaDan
Reality: Komi can't communicate

Option 5: Donovan ALSO reads minds. That's why Melinda thought he was an alien (she either said it metaphorically or as a real trauma).

Donovan would be a byproduct of the experiments Anya and Bond underwent (but he only got the ability to read minds, since reading the future usually creates conditions that probably wouldn't allow Donovan to have met his son in the hallway in the episode where the parents met, because then Desmond would have read the future and imagined he had met a spy).

In wars, those who speak little act a lot. Often times, "not speaking" shows more power than speaking, because it reveals a lot about the person. When Twilight met him, this was obvious. Donovan literally acts mechanically.

If Donovan is a mind reader, it changes the situation of the meeting that Twilight and him had. In other words, from that moment until now, Donovan knows about Twilight and is either playing with him or acting even more discreetly.

Let's wait for Endo to do his story.

There's clearly a joke here, but I don't get it. :(
In DanDaDan, one of the protagonists (the "Okarun") met a lost soul (the "Turbo") and during the encounter had his testicles grabbed by her. Since then (in the anime, because in the manga it was already resolved), the plot of the story is to go after his balls back.

There are also aliens, who try to steal the genitals of humans because they think they will evolve when they take their genitals for themselves. The joke in this case is "let's take your 'bananas'".
