As much as I hate the lack of progression in this Manga. Man how those stories are really well made
The Mangaka went above and beyond to show you how even the war was impacting citizens who were as far as it got from the front lines.

From corruption to shortages all in few lines.

Also heart breaking how those 2 grew this old and never got together. So this Mangaka better have a good explanation on why they didn't get married after she finished school!
