it is indeed sus that autor want the reader to feel for that familly
but i would say it's either one (or more) of them being the traitor, or the kid will endanger themselve witch will reveal who is the traitor

Only men are disappearing? Honestly there's so many possibilities I'm not sure what's happening! There's a chance the innkeeper might be involved, since there's a whole chapter about the family, but she doesn't seem "evil"! So blackmail or protecting someone? We seen someone leading those 3 werewolves, and they knew the one our MC defeated so they can not be newly transformed! But maybe he/they can "infect" others...like the children?

Why would you assume that? Plenty of publications split chapters like this. I checked the "Official Raw" link too just to make sure and it's split up into sections like this. The latest one being Chapter 9-3.

well, authors puts notes on chapter's footer when they split chapters themselves, but no notes here.
it may be something publishers did by themselves too (i gave up on comikey for this exact reason)
