So it wants him to kill 60 High-Level Awakened, but it sounds like based on his future that High-Level Awakened are rare, so either it's a trash weapon or just doing the other attributes will be good enough to make it a decent weapon which is why he kept it. Either that, or the author was going to force this in the plot.
