@StaK I see, well, thanks for writing all these details down. Pretty interesting to see that kinda thing, it's a bit like Souls lore LOL, it's there to spice up the main story but can easily be ignored if you're looking for just a fairly normal budding romance story.

@genderbenderbb2 that was one of the most beautifully accurate comparisons I've ever seen.
Haha yes ✅ exactly like that.

(Ironically, on basically every other site, my handles are usually Soulsborne references lmfao)

@StaK the fact that such doujin exists is off-putting and makes her less likable, not because she gone out with another guy, but because she gone out with a random guy after all she said to the MC when he confessed to her. I doubt said college student even checked all those "qualities" and "obligations" she gave to the MC.

@jokerxhisoka yeah I dont love it either but it shouldnt actually matter that much since it was written well before the main story -- before their characters were the same as now (though the MC is manly and mature as an adult in that side one, and that might eventually be the same as in the main) so that girl from the prequel story isnt quite the same personality as the FMC in the main one.
Anyway my point here is that yeah precisely because it doesnt fit her finialized character thats why it seems like the author only included a chapter referencing it in order to tie the original doujin to the more full and finished story, and to make sure everyone knows the doujin issue has already been passed safely

(Plus in the original doujin the whole reason they go back in time and undo it is because the Girl says it was a big mistake. Plus even before they undo it shes already come to her senses and married the MC for ages)

So since everything bad from it has now never happened and never will, Im just gonna forget about it and move on; everyone else is probably better off doing so too.

@StaK The thing is, the author makes it look like it is something that could have happened in this version, actually, it is something that happened since she had to go back on time to fix it! It would have been better if he had just forgotten about it, and acted like such a thing never happened in this version of the story, as if they were totally different people.
I mean, from my point of view as someone who didn't read the doujin, everything that happened until this point is
what happened on the original timeline and the doujin is an alternative version of how everything plays.

@jokerxhisoka yeah I get it but the Doujin undoes itself, internally even - it undoes everything bad that wouldve happened, so that it never happened in the first place; Even before the main story existed (in which the bad stuff doesnt even potentially happen since it was now destined to be cut off before it started) So either way, in any timeline, it all works out.
Yeah I don't love it either, but at least its way better than it might've been if things had gone differently in a negative way - a positive one is far preferable. Im just gonna make do and move on with the story.

Big fucking preaching about not knowing someone and going out with them, and then randomly goes out with some college dude? So fucking stupid.

Anyway the story does seem to be following along with the plot of the secomday prototype doujin (the associated canon story) based off of this chapter
So our main couple should definitely get the Happily Ever After that we want them to have.
And now that they've avoided the one unpleasant speed bump it should be even happier (though Im sure there'll be some obligatory drama, it should all work out just fine)

*Im a bit surprised at how gentle and subtly the older time traveling FMC pushed our young MC; >> Cleary it worked, and she even influenced him ti change his personality a bit (as she always does, both younger and older lol) -- but I would've expected just a little bit more seriousness and force given that it was important enough for her to time travel >>> but she probably knows the MC better than anyone and knew that this conversation would be enough.

** Our girl's smile at the end was so cute. Im glad theyre on the happiest route, and I cant wait to see them get their happily ever after in this main story.

so basically, current fmc really don't care much about the mc if she can get stolen away so easily
and thus the author is irredeemable trash
that said.. being the raccoon i am, im okay with trash
