She forgot the 2 rules:

1. Be attractive;
2. Don't be unattractive.

I think they should just not date each other, she seems to not really be interested on him and is just molding him to be someone who he isn't. When you start to say "be like that person, don't do what you always do", it just shows it's a relationship that wasn't meant to be.

"Washes his hair everyday, checks his appearance in the mirror every morning, washes his hands after using the toilet and wipes them dry with a handkerchief, and changes his clothes when he gets sweaty. That's how he's different"

Wait, what...is that not completely normal? Are there actually people who don't do that?

@jokerxhisoka Dude, she is only asking him to pay attention to his personal hygiene. That's not the same as "why aren't you like X?" even if she is using another guy as an example.

??? all those things are basic hygiene etiquette ... am I out of the loop? Is being smelly, oily and not washing your hands after shitting normal now?

Yeah, that's just basic hygiene. In UK if your high school has a uniform, you gonna be sweaty after PE. You get 5 minutes to change and get to your next lesson. That's why you either bring a towel and a spare shirt or a can of deodorant.
I guess that was what this was trying to show. That even during the day that dude pays attention to how he looks/smells.

If you think this is normal then you obviously haven't been to a con before

@Acolytus she didn't stop at only "pay more attention to your hygiene" and this isn't the first time she told him to change his mannerisms.

I agree with jokerxhisoka. Anezaki has been dissing Osanai every chapter about this or that, telling him he should change, implying that if he becomes a man she could approve of, she might allow him to date her. She obviously doesn't like him or anything about him the way his now, otherwise she wouldn't try to get him to change every single aspect of his personality. It's more like he's a toy that she can play with until she finds a better toy to play with.

Anezaki is comparing Osanai to someone else about whom she knows an extraordinary amount of personal info as if she actually likes the dude and has been stalking him. She would definitely not trash talk that dude like she has been Osanai every single chapter.

I think you guys are looking too much into the dynamics at play. It's just the author wanting to make fun of the tropes in manga which tend to favor less sociable habits. Back to the story, it seems that she wants him to grow into a more sociable person. The roasts could be construed as some form of tough love, especially since she always follows them with positive reinforcement. As a yankee, she lacks in tact but is well-intentioned. The conundrum though, is that she's indirectly trying to change the MC to fit her standards.

@jokerxhisoka She asked him to:

Change his clothes after sweating a lot.
Wash his hair everyday
Check his appearance in the mirror every morning
Wash his hands after using the toilet and wipe them dry

None of these things are illogical demands or come even close to her asking him to become a different person, she even points out she doesn't care about the guy getting his hair done in a beauty parlor or arguably the other traits that make him popular. If MC's personality is defined by being a smelly and dirty fuck then that's definitely something he should change because it's unhealthy, or just give up on having a relationship with a normal woman and find someone as sick as he is.

It has been a while since I read this so I can't honestly remember if she made any illogical demands in the past.

@FredFriendly Again, I don't remember much about her illogical demands in previous chapters but from little I can remember, she has been asking him to do pretty minor stuff, though she does wants him to be more "manly" by doing things like being more outspoken and confident, which I don't see as a bad thing.

She is clearly harsh and has her own personal issues she needs to fix, but I don't remember her telling the guy to change in a way that would make him a completely different person or wouldn't be a positive change. That "just be yourself" crap might sound nice but the sad reality is that no one will love a cowardly and introvert human wreck that can't even bother to not smell like shit.

And she knows a lot about that dude because a) he is popular and b) apparently he is the only guy in that fucking school/city that does basic personal hygiene shit, and yet she is spending his time with MC instead of going with that guy. I highly doubt she is with MC just to play with him, this is clealry not that kind of story.
