If I ever did that at like 12 to 14 years old (I think that's how old they are), It'd be met with suspicion. It's not even that my parents didn't trust me , It's just seems like a very odd request from a preteen.

I think in her case mother is supporting them, while father was a bit of obstacle by for example insisting to supervise Kaede on her rhythmic gymnastic "date" , so I think Kaede would just need to tell her mom and she would get the dad out of the house for her daughter. Kaede-mom probably knows her future son-in-law won't do anything improper anyway to her daughter anyway, it was Kaede that was mounting him on bed last time.
