Kanna is as much a product of light-novel-logic upbringing and strange biology as Mito, so her standing out is expected. The basic kawaii art doesn't do anything to sell why a female martial artist distinctly rocks the look but it's hardly implausible.

While I wish the official publishing line for yuri was gayer, this has enough teases it's not debatable. I've liked to plot enough to not mind much but when I feel like you I generally drop reading until it's done (like a recent telepath and mute girl non-yuri not worth reading).

Most Manga Time Kirara titles are the "yuri-subtle" type of series. I'm amused there are still people that don't know that already. Maybe if you really want to get a romance-driven plot you could go to try out YuriHime magazine instead.

Isn't that girl who took the plate the one that Kanna helped before in the running? Would be interesting if she become a recurring character later in the story.

By the way guys, this manga is about food, so don't expect too much of explicit romance here. It probably gonna end with the old "they became best friends and lived happy forever after", that we see in so many mangas.

It's clear that the characters have a crush on each other, but i don't think the author want to confirm anything because this uncertainty is what keep people more interested in the story.

Well, that's the expected and standard outcome, but this chapter was an extremely disappointing one to be sure. I'd even call it bad.

Putting Kanna in a butler outfit is such an obvious fumble when the main basis for her character is concern over lacking femininity.

I wish the plot here had been for her butler outfit to have something spilled on it, with a maid outfit as the only spare available. Putting her in that would still have allowed for the premise of her classmates seeing her differently, while additionally addressing the core issue of her needing to learn that she's allowed to express what she wants - and we already know feminine clothing is one of those things.

Well, anyway, my absolute hatred for butler outfits continues to grow.

I think complaining on the forums about the manga they come back to read every week is just a hobby for Prismatic-chan. This isn't the only one they do it on. I wouldn't take it too seriously.
