I wish Udon Entertainment never got the rights to this manga. You have the CEO's (now deleted) comments on reddit over STR's censorship, the total lack of communication with fans over the delays, not to mention the so called premium hardcovers that were pushed back several months were severely lacking in quality. It was a whole fiasco that left a really bad taste in my mouth.

The first quarter to half of this manga are good, but I'm sympathetic to mystery time travel stories where the protagonist steadily resolves various clues and uses prior knowledge to advance. All You Need Is Kill also fits that bill for the most part.

The second half, particularly the final quarter or so goes completely off the rails. It's similar to Claymore and Attack on Titan in the sense that the premise is solid, but the mangaka fails to stick the landing and the story devolves into anime bullshit.
