It's just personal opinion of mine. I feel more comfortable that way. And if similar words come out (like autumn and cherry) then you could easily avoid confusion.
Well my main reason is Japanese names are more comfortable to read personally but I'm okay with either, just suit yourself.

Now this ending scene and the whole situation reminds me of Lem's book Solaris. In the book a sudden appearance of Harey was driven by main character's memory, here I guess it's more about desire. I doubt there was an inspiration like that, it's just my loose association.

The girls aren't human so maybe they don't require much sustenance, or maybe certain things like saliva (or chromosomes...?) will be able to fuel them, in the way that the chocolate immediately dissolves them. I do hope for some good worldbuilding and logic, although I'll probably end up focusing on the art more.

From the rate the girls are growing (mentally), I think in a few weeks at most, their mental age will catch up to their physical appearance. The question is what happens after that... Hopefully the writer is good enough to keep the suspense going for a while.

For me, it's more a question of consistence. It would be strange to have Japanese characters with Japanese names and the girls with names like Eliza, Cherry or Autumn. Also, I might be wrong but I don't think that's the kind of name a Japanese person would use. Besides, to me, the Japanese names feel like they could be used for a human. If I'm not mistaken, there's a Ouka in the Toukiden game by Koei Tecmo for example.

So, Japanese names for me, unless the name is explicitly in English, like Power for example.
