Picky eater spotted XD
If this was 'real', then he absolutely couldn't have survived without meat.

A NORMAL human must eat more meals when he eats vegetables versus meat. Now think about this guy that has to eat several kilograms of meat on ONE meal, and that won't even last him more than a few hours. He should literally never be able to stop eating since the time it would take to eat should have burned through all the energy the vegetables he ate would provide.
That is why the larger animals are mostly carnivores, or at least omnivores. And those that are not, act sluggish most of the time.
For comparison, elephants eat around 150-170kg of vegetables in a single day and about 75% (up to 18 hours) of that day is spent doing that. That means that elephants eat almost every waking moment if they can. And THAT just to be sluggish most of the time.

wow. so the plot really is going to be, a bunch of super "humans" have been subsisting on charcoaled meat; then, the MC feeds them normal food, and they "power up"
Power up isn't confirmed yet, that fire bear might actually be just weak. Still, she's basically Mukouda bishoujo edition at this point. She just gets a dope ass camper van and unlimited spices and stuff instead of infinite online shopping

Disseminating nutrition information, along with hygiene practices, are a huge public health measure.

Long ago, I worked as a tech for a research physician. He came into the lab once and described a guy he encountered on Grand rounds who came in with scurvy. He was, as they say, a well-developed and will nourished young man, but he also pretty much only ate his favorite foods. Those foods did not include a lot of vegetables, and over time he was deficient in vitamin C.

Tbf, Vil is not human, so it's kinda like forcing your cat to eat vegetables
I hadn't thought about this. I wonder if some of the other non-human members of the group would find things like garlic and onions to be toxic, as is the case with dogs and cats.

By the way, this was a small plot point in the Isekai Izakaya Gen manga.
