Meh, I've read worse, but this is average at best, in a genre that wore out its wonder over 8 years ago, with a "betrayed by allies because of bad investigation" trope that wore itself out by the third manga to do so.

I don't know how many chapters of the raws there are, but if the series can reach chapter 10 before the year's end, then it might be fine to just mindlessly read. If they start to go too far on dialogue for each page, I'll just drop it.

If a story is overdone, which this is, they're better off showing the world and not telling all the details about it.

Edit: So they're not that far in the raws either (only 2 chapters). Artist has to really crank out these chapters, or they gotta drop this after 26 chapters. First impressions are still important, and this first chapter give it the impression that it has neither the art quality, nor the originality to make it last.

That said, thank you to Kumo Translations for trying this. I hope you can at least enjoy the work for TL-ing this manga. Like I said before, I'll read it if the pages don't turn into 50% text explanations of the world.

welp after reading the two parts available, I can confidently say if he doesn't destroy the entire army and prove himself to the smarmy dweebs soon its gonna be an insta drop. So many manga that follow this basic setup spend too much time dicking around and never giving the low-stakes first arc baddies their rightful punishment.

This manga probably able to redeem itself if it got at least 50 chapter and released 5-7 years ago, but dude this is 2026, ain't nobody got the patience to wait for this slop cuz they already got bunch of it.

I'm out after first chapter, and i usually enjoy slop. This is not even the case that it turns good with how bad it is, this is just pure garbage.
If it was supposed to be comedy it's not funny, like almost at all.
If it wasn't - that's even worse, because nothing about it makes any sense:

• MC is just a mix of neutron star dense, happy go lucky, strongest in the universe for absolutely no reason retard and a psychopath. Whaa, they court martial me, oh a bed~ Oh, they are bad guys, i'll just kill everyone. Complete token paper cutout, just this time there's a print on both sides
• Heroine is whatever, plus another sword pulled out of her ass for no reason
• Whole premise makes zero sense. Oh, we are at war with all surrounding contries and need mercenaries. Lets leave one of the frontlnes (or mountain passes, whatever) to completely random guy from nowhere, because that makes sense, for months. Enemies are just coming in some dumb waves, whole squads are repelled no problem. By one guy oblivious to his strength, for months. OH GREAT THERE'S MYSTERY PLOT. Nope, it's just everyone being turbo retards. It reads like a random 7 year old wrote it.

I don't think it's possible to fix it w/o scrapping the whole idea and starting from scratch.
