I loved this chapter personally. I like that we don't have to deal with that hackneyed drama about learning how to get past the lies or whatever. We already have him trying to prove himself to her family. It does seem like she's done a bit too much so far if he's really just a tool. I love what he said too, that's exactly what I wanted him to say instead of the stupid, cliche 'oh wait, so she doesn't love me?' crap. I think it's cuter this way. I kinda like how he burned the diary even though there was a good chance Vicky would eventually lose her shit and try to kill him anyway. And I love what he said about 'not treating her well enough.' Can't explain it, I just do.
